    Great service and product. This flyscreen is easy to install and works really well keeping Flys out of the house. The cats are still able to get out their cat flap too. Much sturdier fabric then what you can buy at Bunnings or Mitre 10. Highly recommended

    The most satisfied i have been with a product in a long time. They delivered above expectations. I was looking for a fly screen and ordered with bespoke measurements to fit my sliding door. Their instructions were very clear and the product fits perfectly. Materials are robust, magnets are strong and it looks very good now that it is installed. So much crap is sold online, this company is a stand out. I am a very satisfied customer ( and now flies free:))

  5. Surprisingly brilliant!

    I needed a simple to install, simple to use product, to combat incessant flies coming in through our upstairs balcony in Brisbane. The door being open is essential for the all important breeze, but the flies were unwelcome. Magnetic options were not ideal, and traditional fly screen mesh blocks the breeze. Amazingly, the dangling chains block no breeze, do not block the view much as the loops in the chain are quite open, and not a single fly!!! And I can just unhook it and take it down if I do not want it there all the time. Also amazingly, this product was delivered in just a few days, in the days before Christmas. Tick, tick, tick. Highly recommend the product and company for prompt service.

    I have ordered 3 screens from the magnetic door company. They are on the outside of my house and I leave them up all summer. They last about 2 years with the wear and tear but I would recommend them - they keep the mosquitos and flies out and are simple to use and do not detract from my view

How does the screen close by itself?

Magnets are sewn into both edges of the centre seam, down the full height of the screen. Walk through and the two halves swing apart, then the magnets pull them straight back together behind you.

Do I need tools to fit it?

No. The kit comes with self adhesive velcro tape. You press the tape around the door frame, press the screen onto it, and that is the whole job. Most people are finished in about ten minutes.

Will it damage my door frame?

The velcro tape is self adhesive and comes away again. It is a common choice for rentals for that reason. On a painted frame, take it off slowly and warm the tape first if the weather is cold.

What sizes do you sell?

Widths of 60cm, 80cm, 90cm, 120cm, 140cm, 160cm and 180cm, in heights of 180cm, 210cm and 240cm. Not every width comes in every height, so the size list on this page is the full set we stock.

How do I measure my door?

Measure the door frame itself, not the door. Measure the width at the widest point and the height from the floor to the top of the frame, then pick the next size up. The screen should be slightly larger than the opening so it sits flat against the frame.

What if my door is a size you do not stock?

We make screens to measure. Send us your dimensions through the custom size page and we will quote you.

Can I cut it down to fit?

We do not recommend it. Cutting the screen means cutting through the reinforced edge and, depending where you cut, the magnet seam. Order the next size up, or ask us for a made to measure quote.

Does it come in white as well as black?

Yes. Every size we stock is available in both black and white, at the same price.

Which colour is less visible from inside?

Black. A dark mesh disappears against a bright outdoor view, which is why it is the more common choice. White stands out more from the outside and blends with a white door frame.

Will it keep mosquitoes out?

That is what it is for. The mesh is woven tight enough to stop mosquitoes, flies and other flying insects while still letting air through.

Can pets get through it on their own?

Yes, once they work out how. A cat or a dog pushes through the centre seam and it closes behind them. Most pets learn it in a day or two.

Will children be able to open it?

Yes. The magnets hold the seam closed but give way to a light push, so a small child can walk through without help.

Does it block the view?

It softens it. You can see out clearly; from outside, a dark mesh reads as a shadow rather than a window.

How much air does it let through?

Enough to feel a breeze. The point of the screen is to let you leave the door open all summer without letting insects in.

Will it stay shut in the wind?

In ordinary wind, yes. In strong gusts through a wide doorway the seam can lift, which is true of any magnetic screen. The heavier reinforced hem on ours helps it hang and settle back.

How many magnets are in the seam?

The magnets run the full height of the centre seam. The taller sizes carry more of them than the shorter ones, because the seam is longer.

What is the mesh made of?

A high density woven mesh with reinforced edges on all four sides. It is the part that decides how long a screen lasts, which is why ours is a heavier weave than the supermarket versions.

Can I wash it?

Yes. Take it off the velcro, wash it in cold water by hand, and hang it to dry. Do not put it in a machine or a dryer.

Can I take it down over winter?

Yes. That is one of the reasons people choose a magnetic screen. Peel it off the velcro, fold it, and put it back up when the weather turns.

Does it work on a sliding door?

Yes, as long as you can fit the velcro to a flat surface around the opening and the door itself can stay open behind it.

Does it work on French doors?

Yes. Measure the full opening across both doors and order that width, so the screen covers the pair.

Does it fit a caravan or an RV?

The 60cm by 180cm size is the one people buy for caravans and camper doors. Measure the frame first, because caravan openings vary.

How long does delivery take?
